This is our finals. Creating a scene that will say to the viewers "It's more fun in the Philippines."
COMGRAP
(Computer Graphics)
In this subject, I was introduced to Adobe Photoshop. Below you can see how I described my dream using and applying some effect I saw in photoshop. Our class put this in an exhibit in SDA ( School of Design and Arts).
DESPRIN
(Design and Printing)
A portrait of an object using points. This technique is called pointilism.
As a tribute to our national hero, our prof told us that our project will be the kite of Pepe (Saranggola ni Pepe). This has also been part of one of the exhibits in SDA (School of Design and Arts).
We are tasked to make a pattern from a character using acrylic paint. I chose Lastikman because he was made by a Filipino Artist.
FREHAND
(Free Hand)
In this subject, our rule is simple. Use only pencil and eraser. Strictly NO RULER! From the name of our subject itself, Free Hand meaning use only the techniques our mentor gave and focused on the object being drawn.
PROGRAMMING
BASPRO1
(Basic Programming 1)
This is my first time to experience using Microsoft Visual Studio.
One of the important line of code that I should put in all of my programs so it will pause and the user can see the program. The getch() and getche().
Using prinftf, /n and the input of the user, I created a mouse. For the first time in my life, I create a program.
Using loops I created a house using the user's input and loops (for and do while only).
Some of my programs that I created using loops (for, do while and while loop).
I create a simple calculator using assignment operators.
Using Assignment operators, some headers and loops (for, while, do while) I created the bat mobile System!!!HOW COOL IS THAT!!!
I create a toy based on my mentor assign to me. This is what i called the Color Controller. To play this toy, the user should only use the mouse to click the colored buttons. The color will decide the color of the background. The user can experiment by mixing colors. Also the user can manipulate the controller and change its translation. I created this using openGL and some codes our mentor teaches us.
BASPRO2
(BASIC PROGRAMMING 2)
I create a game called Can you guess It? I applied the lessons in this game examples are classes, structs, arrays, booleans etc. The goal of the game is simple. Just guess the number given by the computer and your score will be based on the times you type your guess number.
BASPRO3 AND APLIMAT (Basic Programming 3 and Applied Mathematics)
Because of having the same prof in the same subject, we create only one project for both subject. By applying the lessons in BASPRO3 we put every models made using Blender modelling engine in the project. Applying the lessons from APLIMAT will make the objects move like in the original game. We choose Galaga to do as our midterm and final project but unfortunately we only pass the midterm project.
GMPROG1
(Game Programming 1)
The subject introduced me to Unity game engine. At first I thought it was only a drag and drop engine but things got harder and harder. But I survived and finished a game. It was a tower defense game based on how Gen Gregorio Del Pilar defend Tirad Pass.
GM-ENG1 AND GM-ENG2
(Game Engine1 and Game Engine2)
Using what our professor taught us, we put it in a form of header. Like for an instance as you can see, we put physics effect in the game that when Pacman eat a pod, it will explode with particles. Also as you in the right side is the console. This is where the program indicate whether Pacman is colliding on walls and pods or not.
GMPROD1
(Game Production 1)
In this subject I felt that I was like outside the industry. This gave me the idea on how things work in different companies and how they manage their people, their time and money. We have been grouped according to our roles (Game designer, Game Produce, Game Programmer and Game Artist). My role is Game designer and as a game designer, I design the concepts and how can be an Asteroid game will become more interesting to play. Using Unity software, we re-create the asteroid game and we put some power ups.
Game Elective1
(Android Game Dev)
Using Eclipse SDK we leardned how to program and make games in Andorid Devices. I created a game that is playable in android devices and in PC. This is just a simple game called Orbital Blast which is similar to Space Impact in Nokia Phones. The first image is just a prototype by the way and after that I put the menu and some GUI then the main game. Also I use The Game Maker Engine so that I can easily apply good assets and designs. (This is my first encounter in Game Maker software.)
APLIPHY
(Applied Physics)
This is the continuation of APLIMAT just more advance.
Using friction, collision and gravity. Actually this are my past activities in APLIMAT but we need this to understand this more so we can apply some formulas of physics.
Using Model Loaders and models I created in Blender Modelling Machine we re create the game Road warrior. It feels great to re create games that I felt like I'm in the industry now.
